Fragrance galore

Bonjour!

The sweetly scented white flowers of the Murraya paniculata- mock orange are very evident in the garden with their intense fragrance and showy white blossoms. Here's one blooming right now in our front garden bed.

Yellow and red

Bonjour!

Still the rain around with overcast skies and high humidity.

Rain always brings a spurt in growth of the syzygium (Lilly pilly). Here it is with its new red tips together with the yellow cassia.

After the rain

Bonjour!

We've had a few days of soaking rains and my garden is looking most energized!

First noticed were the caterpillars. I'm captivated!

These are the caterpillars of the Blue Triangle Swallowtail butterfly (Graphium sarpedon). They are living on the Camphor Laurel bush. A couple of weeks back I recorded this butterfly fluttering around the camphor laurel.(Butterfly) Little did I realize that he was laying his eggs on the leaves. And here is the end result!

Stay tuned for more activity in the next post!
